OOO NPP Tasma is the only enterprise in Russia and the CIS that produces light-sensitive film materials, as well as a manufacturer of multilayer barrier polymer films for packaging. Tasma radiographic and photographic films are widely used in industry for non-destructive testing and for image capture, and packaging films under the Mealguard brand are used by food industry enterprises.

The Tasma Group of Companies traces its history back to 1933, when the Film Factory No. 8 was founded in Kazan (since 1974 it has been given the modern name Tasma).
During the Great Patriotic War, it was the only enterprise providing the front and rear with films, aerial films, photographic papers. In 1944 Film Factory # 8 was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
In the post-war period, the enterprises of the Tasma Group of Companies mastered the technologies for the production of color cinematographic materials, medical films, films for holography, microfilming, printing industry, as well as recording and aerial films for aviation and space.
Currently, Tasma Group:
Possesses unique competencies, has its own technology and a full cycle production (the only one in Russia and the CIS) of radiographic technical films for non-destructive testing.
Tasma is the only manufacturer of aerial films for the Russian Aerospace Forces, aerospace films, anti-fog films and other special-purpose films.
The Expert Council of the Industrial Development Fund, based on the conclusion of the ANO Federal Center for Competence in the Sphere of Labor Productivity (FCC), approved NPP Tasma LLC - the first Russian enterprise from among the applicants - a loan under the Labor Productivity Improvement program in the amount of 80, 5 million rubles at 1% per annum for a period of 5 years The total project budget is 151.4 million rubles.
"Tasma" turns 85 years old. JSC NPO TsNIITMASH issues a Conclusion on the conformity of radiographic technical films produced by LLC NPP Tasma RT-5 and RT-7 to classes C4 and C5 according to European standards ISO 11699-1 (2008) and class 4 and 5 according to SDOS 01- 2008, as well as the possibilities of using these films in relevant industries.

According to the results of the assessment of the scope of activities and indicators of the enterprise, LLC NPP Tasma was included in the "List of organizations that have a significant impact on the industries and trade" by Order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia No. 823 dated April 14, 2015.
LLC "NPP" Tasma "is putting into operation equipment for the production of multilayer heat-shrinkable barrier films for food packaging. On August 11, 2014, the opening of the production of innovative shrink barrier films "Mealguard" took place.
